FABLES: <<Bonjour! Je m’appelle Jean de la Fontaine, et j’écris -- I write -- I write my fabliaux!>> Let M. de la Fontaine introduce you to the wonderful world of his fables. A brightly painted landscape set, French Baroque music and period costumes create the atmosphere for eleven of la Fontaine’s most loved fables. Stunning animal masks come to life as the Grasshopper and the Ant, the Lion and the Rat and thirteen other characters, gleefully exposing our own human foibles. The production is available in a bilingual version as well as in English.
